Manchester United midfielder Angel Di Maria was
forced to miss the Boxing Day win over Newcastle
through injury.
Manager Louis van Gaal confirmed before kick-off the
Old Trafford club’s latest injury but did not specify its
nature.
“Di Maria has injured himself at the last training
session,” said Van Gaal.

Di Maria has had a succession of fitness problems
since joining from Real Madrid for a British record
transfer fee and just recently returned against Aston
Villa following a three-week absence with a hamstring
tear.
