Luke Ruehlman is a healthy 5-year-old boy. Yet, he’s
already had a lifetime of experiences according to him
— he has even died! The Huffington Post reports:

At least, that’s what he claims. In a bizarre
series of TV interviews, Ruehlman has
managed to convince at least a few people
that he lived a past life as Pam Robinson, an
African-American Chicago woman who died
in a fire at the Paxton Hotel in 1993.
Ruehlman started weirding out his stay-at-
home mom, Erika, at the age of 2, when he
started talking about a mystery woman
named Pam. Later, she would ask him
directly who the heck Pam was. “He turned
to me and said, ‘Well, I was,'” she told Fox 8 .
“[He said] ‘Well, I used to be, but I died and I
went up to heaven. I saw God and then
eventually, God pushed me back down and I
was a baby and you named me Luke.'”
Ruehlman also reportedly said he traveled by
train in Chicago. The Cincinnati family didn’t
know anyone named Pam, and Luke had
never been to the Windy City. His mom was
baffled. She investigated further and found
Pam Robinson, who was one of 19 people
who died in a 1993 hotel fire.
Robinson’s family declined to comment on
the story. The boy’s odd ability to remember
places he’s never been is intriguing, to be
sure. If this sounds amazing, it’s not that
unusual on the show that revealed this story,
Lifetime’s “Ghost Inside My Child” — and the
last time we checked up on one of the
show’s reports, it was a mess .

Nigeria’s military on Wednesday claimed that more than 300 Boko Haram fighters were killed when troops recaptured the garrison town of Monguno in northeast Borno state.
“Over 300 terrorists were killed while a few were also captured,” defence spokesman Chris Olukolade said in an emailed statement.
There was no independent verification of the claims, which follow similar assertions about Boko Haram casualties by Niger, Chad and Cameroon involved in the regional fight-back against the militants.

LAGOS — The South-West Presidential Contact Committee Group of Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, yesterday called for the removal of Chairman of the Independent National Electoral Commission, INEC, for gross dereliction of duty and deliberate partisan complicity.
In a communique issued at the end of its meeting in Lagos, the committee also described the intervention of former President Olusegun Obasanjo in the current national challenges as distorted, unstatesmanly, too personalised and provocative.

Akure – GOVERNOR Olusegun Mimiko of Ondo State, yesterday, faulted former President Olusegun Obasanjo postulation on the reason adduced by the Independent National Electoral Commission, INEC, for the postponement of the general elections.
Speaking in Akure, Dr Mimiko said available evidence on ground was at variance with the former president’s postulations on why the polls were shifted by the electoral umpire.

Members of the dreaded Boko Haram sect, on Saturday, wreaked havoc on Gombe, the Gombe State capital, as they attempted to take over the city, forcing some residents to flee while some were forced indoors.

However, the army has stated that it was able to repel the insurgents’attack on the capital city with a combination of air and ground operations, while the state government has imposed a 24-hour curfew on the town and its environs.

AS a confessional, this very intervention was previously made when the State of Anambra was in the throes of being captured. That was just before the election that begat the gubernatorial tenure that expired in 2014. It appears that that effort is worth being revisited since the agonizing peril of capturing persons and their constitutional votes as well as entire swat of States is at stake again.
It is apt to make the inquiry: Quo Vadis? – since it is understood that we are no longer under the grip of Emperor Nero, except that our INEC and its political patrons ought to be proffering a remedial response plan now with the dread and uncertainty of an incomplete distribution of permanent voter cards (PVCs). Obviously, it seems that, like in other things about life, the more things change for the worse, the more the last ugly experience appears more palatable and nostalgic in its politesse.

The News reaching us is that the YOUTHS of Oviri-Olomu, Ughelli South Local Government Area, Delta State, have apprehended two suspected armed robbers in the community and handed  them over to the police.

Some criminals in the area have reportedly gone into hiding following the daring action of the youths.
