The Edo State chapter of Peoples Democratic Party,
PDP, has accused the state government of
misappropriating public funds and depleting the state’s
treasury to the tune of N142 million, which the governor
said was recently used to commission two projects in
the state.
The State Chairman of the party, Chief Dan Orbih, made
the allegations at Igboubazuwa, in Ovia South West
Local Government Area of the state, during a reception
rally to welcome defectors from the All Progressives
Congress into the PDP.
Orbih, who was accompanied by some chieftains and
candidates of the PDP, accused the State Governor,
Comrade Adams Oshiomhole, of signing out the sum of
N76 million and N66 million, on November 28 and 29,
2014 respectively, for the commissioning of projects by
the presidential candidate of the APC, Maj.-Gen.
Muhammadu Buhari (retd.), and a national leader of the
party, Asiwaju Bola Tinubu.
It would be recalled that Buhari, had in November,
commissioned the six-lane Airport road and the
remodelled Imaguero College in Benin, while Tinubu
inaugurated the six-lane New Lagos Road and the
general hospital in Ewhohimi on December 19.
But Orbih, who claimed that the said projects had
earlier been commissioned, argued that the state had
never “witnessed this level of fraud and
misappropriation of public fund”, even as he warned the
two APC chieftains “to stay away from Edo State
because our accounts are usually emptied to rob their
over-bloated ego”, as their actions indicated that they
did not love the state.
The state chairman also used the opportunity to implore
the people of South South geo-political zone to make it
a responsibility to support President Goodluck Jonathan
in next month’s presidential election.
But the state government, in a reaction on Saturday,
described the claims as lies aimed at tarnishing the
image of the state governor, whom the people of the
state knew to be prudent.
The Commissioner for Information and Orientation,
Louis Odion, who responded to the allegations, said
that although the state government was not oblivious of
the envy of the PDP concerning the achievements of
the governor, it “least expected that the opposition party
would engage in forging vouchers to back up a
shameless lie”.

The All Progressives Congress (APC) has slammed the
Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) over
the recent redeployment of Resident Electoral
Commissioners (RECs), a move the commission said it
made as part of ways to ensure a free and fair election
in 2015.
The Chairman, Enugu State chapter of the APC, Ben
Nwoye said redeployment of RECs had almost become
a routine.
”It is bad for INEC to routinely, switch the RECs few
weeks before the general elections. It shows that INEC
trusted in the conduct of the elections,” he said.
The APC chieftain described the recent exercise as a
recipe for disaster, stating that the re-deployed RECs
already appreciate the geographical terrain of their
operations and had built confidence with the political
stakeholders in their various states.
“Enugu state do not have confidence that the new REC,
Prof. Chukwuemeka Onukaogu will be able to conduct
or supervise a free and fair election because of his
antecedents in Anambra State. He supervised the
conduct of the most unfair election in Anambra state
which is subject of litigation. INEC Charman, Prof.
Attahiru Jega admitted that the election he(Onukaogu)
conducted in Anambra last year was floored,” Nwoye
said.

The report reaching us is that Chief Awolowo's widow has reportedly endorsed Osinbajo
and Buhari for this year's election

A teen in Ohio says she was ambushed by six women who
took turns brutally beating her on Christmas Eve — then
spread photos and videos of the attack on social media to
humiliate her.
Cheyanne Willis, 19, says she was pulling into the parking
lot of a suburban Cincinnati mall with her then boyfriend,
Quincy Gardner, when he parked and pulled her out of the
car. A group of six women, including two she knows, was
waiting for her and allegedly took turns kicking and beating
Willis, slamming her face on a car hood and shaving her
head...
Online footage shows Cheyanne Willis being visciously
attacked by a group of women on Christmas Eve ...below...
Willis is heard pleading and crying in a video of the incident
while others in the group shout angrily, according to the
station.
The attackers wrote 'I got my a** whopped' on her forehead
with eyeliner and signed their names, the video shows.
Willis is seen before the attack (left) and with her head
partially shaved (right) while being treated for for a
concussion following the attack
Willis says they took her purse with $50 and her cell phone,
then destroyed her driver's license and threatened to kill
Willis if she reported the crime.
'I am scared to leave my house still,' Willis, who was left
with a black eye and multiple concussions, told
DailyMail.com on Friday.
'I still haven't been to sleep— I hate to fall asleep because I
have nightmares.'
Willis says her then-boyfriend Quincy Gardner (pictured)
took her to the place where she was ambushed. He's been
charged with robbery over the incident
On Facebook, this woman—identified by Willis as Cheyenne
Fisher—says she 'slapped her up' over a stolen car. Fisher
has been charged with robbery over the incident
Willis says she's afraid of leaving her house now and
jumps 'at every noise.'
''I wanted to just die,' she told WCPO. 'I really wish they
would have killed me.
'I don't want to be here no more, honestly.'
Police told WCPO the incident remains under investigation

Eighteen-year-old Boluwatife Ajadi had been looking
forward to enjoying the New Year festivity with her
family in peace and happiness, but she spent it in
agony on a hospital bed, hanging on to life.
Boluwatife, who finished secondary school in
September 2014, fell victim of a vicious attack by a
scorned suitor, a young man who had been seeking her
hand in a romantic friendship, around 11pm on
December 30, 2014.
But the culprit, 21-year-old Sakiru Buari, insisted that
Boluwatife was his girlfriend.
When our correspondent visited Samas Hospital, a
private health facility in Baruwa area of Lagos, there
was no way of speaking with Boluwatife. She had been
unable to speak since the attack, her family said. The
girl had been induced to sleep by the hospital staff.
Her elder sister, Adeola, who narrated what happened,
said she had feared that her sister might not survive
the attack which left a long and deep gash on her neck.
A picture of the fresh wound showed part of the girl’s
neck, flesh that is almost the size of a palm, hanging
loose.
“The man used a razor to cut her neck,” Adeola began.
“There was no doubt that he actually wanted to kill her.
It all started about 11pm when we were hearing a noise
outside our house on Alhaja Wasilat Street, Baruwa.
Someone was shouting ‘thief, thief’ and we all rushed
outside but I did not realise my sister was not inside
with us.
“When I went outside, I saw someone staggering
towards us holding her neck. She was struggling to call
for help. By the time I realised it was my sister, she
collapsed on the ground.”
Saturday PUNCH learnt that soon after the attack,
neighbours who had heard Boluwatife’s initial alert for
help, were able to catch Buari who had attempted to
flee at the time.
“When they caught him, the man was even saying that
he regretted that she did not die. All I could do was
scream for help as I went to where my sister collapsed.
“At that time of the night, nobody was willing to help us.
No vehicle stopped for us to take her to the hospital. At
a point, I had to go to the middle of the road pleading
for help.
A doctor holds Boluwatife’s flesh in place
to stop bleeding during treatment at a
hospital
“Eventually, a young man at the scene picked her up
from the ground and carried her towards the nearest
hospital with
the help of other eyewitnesses.”
By the time Boluwatife got to the hospital, she had lost
so much blood that her soaked clothes were dripping
blood, it was learnt.
Banging on the door of the hospital with screams, those
who carried Boluwatife were admitted into the
compound as the doctor on duty went to work on the
barely conscious girl.
Adeola, said she had never seen the man who attacked
her sister before that day and was sure he was not her
sister’s boyfriend.
“The man must not escape justice,” she said. Their
father, Gabriel, said he was not at home at the time of
the attack but could not imagine what could have
pushed the man to want to kill her daughter.
He said, “I even thought she was dead when I was
called to the scene and saw the amount of blood on the
ground.
“The place looked like a slab where an animal had been
slaughtered. We are lucky that residents of our street
called the beast who did this to my daughter.
“He said it to my face that he had no regret for what he
did and was even angry that she survived the attack. At
least, we are happy that he had confessed to the attack
and we cannot wait to see him off to jail.”
The police at the Ipaja Division, Baruwa, have taken
Buari into custody with promises that the suspect would
be prosecuted appropriately since he had confessed to
the crime.
The Divisional Police Officer, Mr. Ajewole Adebayo, a
Chief Superintendent of Police, said Buari would be
transferred to the Department of Criminal
investigations, Yaba, Lagos, as soon as his men had
finished their part of the investigations.
When our correspondent and child and woman rights
activist, Esther Ogwu, visited the police division, Buari,
who was still wearing the clothes soiled with
bloodstains, had caked blood on his hands.
“I don’t know what came over me at the time,” he said.
The young man who said he was from Abeokuta, Ogun
State, explained that he dropped out of school in senior
secondary year one.
“She is my girlfriend and I don’t have any reason to kill
her. We did not fight. I just don’t know the spirit that
came over me at the time I brought out a razor and
slashed her neck. I know now that what I did was
terrible,” he said, as he looked away with.
Buari said both his parents were dead and that the only
known relation he had was in Abeokuta.
He said he works as a barber even though he did not
have a shop of his own.
Ogwu, who has taken over the girl’s case, said that the
most important evidence of the case would be the
explanation of the victim herself.
“Unfortunately, she is not in any condition to speak at
this time. But like every case of assault involving
women, we would ensure that the girl gets justice in
this case,” she said.

Ex- Enyimba player, Romanus Orjinta who once played
and won CAF Champions League for Enyimba in 2003
is dead. Romanus was found dead on New Year’s eve
at his home in Enugu by neigbours who noticed he had
been missing.
Orjinta, 33, has since retired from playing to be a
coach, before his untimely death. No information
surrounding his death has been announced.

Some parents of the abducted Chibok schoolgirls on
New Year’s Day recounted the kidnap of their children.

They wondered whether their daughters, who were
abducted by Boko Haram insurgents on April 14, 2014
would ever return.
The parents, who met with the #BringBackOurGirls
(BBOG) group in Abuja on Thursday, expressed
displeasure over the federal government’s inability to
rescue their daughters from Boko Haram’s captivity.
Led by Rev. Mark Enoch, nine of the affected parents
urged President Goodluck Jonathan to live up to the
promise he made to them six months ago on the safe
return of their daughters.
They, however, commended the BBOG campaigners for
not allowing the issue of their daughters’ abduction to
be swept under the carpet even as Rev. Enoch fingered
the government in the entire saga.
An aggrieved mother, Mrs. Samuel Abana, said: “I want
to remind the President of his promise. When he met
with us; he promised to rescue our daughters, he said
he would bring the girls back, but six months later,
there is no result.
“Mr. President, will you fail to rescue them if your
daughter was abducted? If you can’t do it alone, invite
the United Nations to come and rescue our daughters”.
Another parent, Mr. Bulama Jonah, recounted how his
daughter might have escaped been abducted.
He lamented: “the saddest thing is that my daughter
was sent home because of N300 just a day before she
was kidnapped. I gave her the money for her
testimonial and she went back to school only to be
abducted”.

The highest decision making body for Muslims in the
country, the Nigerian Supreme Council for Islamic
Affairs (NSCIA), yesterday condemned the Federal
Government for refusing to vote in favour of
independence for Palestinian State.
It would be recalled that the United Nations Security
Council on Tuesday rejected a Palestinian resolution
calling for an Israeli withdrawal from the occupied West
Bank and East Jerusalem and the establishment of a
Palestinian State by late 2017.
The resolution also called for negotiations to be based
on territorial lines that existed before Israel captured
the West Bank, East Jerusalem and the Gaza Strip in
the 1967 Middle East war. It also called for a peace
deal within 12 months.
The United States vetoed the resolution, which
needed nine votes in favour and no vetoes from the
council’s five permanent members.
The European and African camps were split in the
vote. France and Luxembourg voted in favour of the
resolution. Britain and Lithuania abstained while among
the Africans, Chad voted yes, but Rwanda and Nigeria
abstained.
However, Nigeria has come under heavy criticism
especially since it is a member of the Organization of
Islamic Countries (OIC) and has always supported
independence for Palestinian State as part of its foreign
policy.
Reacting to the development yesterday in Ilorin, the
Kwara State capital, NSCIA Secretary General, Prof.
Ishaq Oloyede, said: “Whatever must have influenced
the position of the Federal Government, it is
condemnable by all lovers of peace and liberation all
over the world.
“And we believe that Nigeria needs not degenerate
further than this because if we cannot manage our
domestic issues, it is clear that in foreign affairs we are
almost betraying the heroes of this nation.
“We are very sad about this and we feel Nigerians
should know that the NSCIA is opposed to this and we
believe that those who are at the helm of affairs of our
foreign policy will have to explain to the Nigerian people
what they should betray them”.
He added: “The NSCIA is very sad about this
development and we feel that the Federal Government
has betrayed the people of Nigeria and has created a
very serious problem for our foreign policy.
“We believe that what Nigeria has just done is not only
a somersault in terms of foreign policy of Nigeria it is
also a slap on those who are lovers of freedom all over
the world and one cannot explain why this ought to be
so except that we believe the Nigerian government is
carrying its divisive domestic policies to foreign policy
of the country and this is very sad.
“The main thrust of our opposition is just to call
attention of the people of Nigeria to the very sad
situation in which we have been plunged into by the
federal government. You all know the historic position
of Nigeria in terms of fighting for freedom and liberation
all over the world.
“You know Nigeria has always been on the side of
justice and liberation from South Africa etc. Nigeria’s
position has always been very firm on the part of
liberation and freedom of the people.
“We were therefore surprised and amazed by the turn of
events at the Security Council where nine votes were
required for endorsement of freedom for the people of
Palestine only for Nigeria, having played a mischievous
role of expressing its well position about liberation
turning round immediately after communication with
some so-called leadership of the foreign affairs
managers to abstain from voting for this historic
resolution of the 66 years old crisis.
“Of course, if countries like Britain and USA are
opposing it, we can understand; why should Nigeria be
the one to abstain from such a progressive step and
this is why the NSCIA is very unhappy about the
situation and we believe all lovers of freedom should
condemn the Federal Government for what it has just
done. It is a step against freedom and what Nigeria has
always stood for”.

The All Progressives Congress (APC) says President
Goodluck Jonathan lacks the capacity to tackle the
challenges facing the country. He has not been able to
do anything in six years, even if given more years,
nothing would change, the party claimed.
”The President has finally admitted that the two main
challenges facing the country are corruption and
insecurity, and seems to be telling Nigerians to give him
more time to tackle the problems. But the truth is that
he lacks the capacity to fight and defeat these
challenges, whether in six or 10 years,” the party said in
a statement by its National Publicity Secretary, Alhaji
Lai Mohammed.
”A President who has spent the last six years trying to
diagnose the main problems facing the country will
apparently need another four years to plan how to
tackle the challenges. By then, all of us would have
been buried under the rubble of corruption and our
country would have been decimated by insecurity. It is
therefore time for Nigerians to vote in a President who
will hit the ground running, a President who will tackle
the problems of corruption and insecurity headlong,
without giving excuses for failure,” it said.
The opposition slammed the Jonathan administration
as corrupt, noting that a corrupt government can never
fight corruption.
”Mr. President said he wants to put in place the
institutions to tackle corruption before taking on the
canker worm that has almost destroyed the fabric of
our society. Pray, whatever happened to the Economic
and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) and the
Independent Corrupt Practices and Other Related
Offences Commission (ICPC)? Were they not
institutions specifically created for the purpose of
tackling corruption, but which the Jonathan
Administration chose to castrate?
”There is no better way to say this: President Jonathan
lacks the political will to tackle corruption, and he will
not tackle it if he spends 60 years in office,” the
statement read.
The APC also criticized the way Jonathan has handled
Boko Haram insurgency. According to the party, the
president missed the chance to nip the menace in the
bud when it just started, as he was busy blaming
everyone.
”Had the President learnt a lesson or two from the
crushing defeat of the Maitatsine sect by Gen.
Muhammadu Buhari, which signalled the death knell of
the sect that is a precursor of Boko Haram, the
insurgency that is daily claiming the lives of our citizens
would have been defeated early on.
”It is too late in the day for President Jonathan to
engage in sophistry over the twin evil of corruption and
insecurity. He has reached the limit of his capacity to
tackle these challenges and it is time to allow those
with necessary political will and capacity to take on the
challenges before they crush the country,” the party
said.

CONCERNING SECOND SEMESTER EXAM TAKING PLACE BETWEEN  JANUARY 28TH, TO FEBRUARY 10th  OR NOT.

Majority decisions tend to be made without engaging the systemic thought and critical thinking skill of the individuals in the group. Given the force of the group’s normative power to shape the opinions of the followers who conform without thinking things through, they are often taken at face value. The persistence minority force the other to process the relevant information more mindfully. Research shows that the decisions of a group as a whole are more thoughtful and creative when there is minority dissent than when it is absent.

These as to do with the on going RUMOURS concerning the rearrangement of school calendar, as stated that, the second semester examination will take place within January 28th to February 10th. Which simply mean a semester will be complete within a month. The school management came up with excuses like for the uncertainly as to what could happen after February’s General election of Nigeria and also to stabilize our already disorganized school calendar.

Dear Ladokites, you will agree with me that will are the largest UNION with the largest stakeholder as far as this university is concern, in lieu of this if the school management will make any decision that will affect the member of our great UNION they need to put us into consideration.
But I want all Ladokites to contribute their own OPINION on this issue NOW before the Students Union Government will take her step by Monday to reject or accept the decision.

Because to me that decision has two major disadvantage and only one major advantage to the students,

ADVANTAGE
1)It can stabilize our already disorganized school calendar or make our programme faster.

DISADVANTAGE

1)It will highly affect the less privilege individual who will be force to pay their remaining part payment school fees before January 28th.
2)It will affect our lay down syllabus especially for the 100Level students because we have a limited time for lectures in a day (maximum of 11 hours).

Dear Ladokites, leave your own OPINION, GRIEVANCES and ADVICE because collective hands rescue mission and this is a crossroad decision that require wisdom.

Note:  all your opinion and grievances will be submitted to the executives and the school management, in fact they are all reading it as u are typing. Your welfarism, yearning and aspirations are ALUTA ROCKET priority.

Thanks,
God bless u
God bless LAUTECH SUG.

Speaking during a special New Year service at the Dunamis
International Gospel Centre, in Abuja yesterday January 1st,
President Jonathan said his administration is coming up
with plans and programmes to fight corruption in Nigeria.
What he said below...
"There are two main problems confronting us as a
nation: The issue of insecurity in the North where we
have the Boko Haram terrorists and in the South
where we have commercial kidnapping. The next thing
that people worry about after security is the issue of
corruption. We are coming out with programmes and
plans to clean up. These are things that you don’t just
use a magical wand to wave off, otherwise even
before I became the President, there wouldn’t have
been corruption in Nigeria.
“It is not just about shouting corruption. It is not
about looking at one person, arrest the person and
show him on television. It is about strengthening
institutions and coming up with credible plans to
make sure that anybody who gets involved with
corruption, the system must have a way of detecting
him and punishing him.
“Until you put such a system on ground, you cannot
talk about eradicating corruption, you will just be
celebrating corruption. You would have noticed that
from Christmas to New Year, at least, it has been
calm. It did not happen by accident.
“It happened because you have been praying for this
country and the government has also been doing
something. We do not need to announce what we are
doing. With your prayers, we will surely get there. We
will continue to come up with programmes that will
help the ordinary people.
“The same way we won the war against Ebola, we
shall win the terror war. 2015 is a turning point
because of the elections. Some people will not mind if
half of the country get burnt because of their
ambition.
“I always say that we must have a country first, we
must have a people first before talking about
ambition. We must pray that God should give us the
wisdom to do things with some decorum and we
should not compromise the lives of the people for
ambition.
“I always say that my ambition and the ambition of
any politician for that matter, is not worth the blood of
the smallest Nigerian.”
“For you to achieve anything, you must have a clear
vision. Even if you look at what we have been doing
as a nation, you will really see that before this time
when the country used to have this 25 years plan, the
budget was based on 25 years clear plan for the
country. So you know where you are going for 25
years.
“Then it was broken down into five years plan and
annual budget and we knew where we were going.
But after some time, things collapsed and we run
government on emergency basis and you see
government start wobbling.
“We are going back to those good days when we had
vision. We have plan for agriculture, we have plan for
industry, we have plan for automobile and many other
areas. If you have a vision, any proposal that comes
in, no matter how good they are, must fall into your
vision for it to go through. With your prayers, surely
as a nation, we will get to where our vision will take us
to.
“Having passed through school and being in
government for quite some time, I have realised that
for you to achieve anything, you must have a clear
vision. If you have a clear vision, even if you don’t get
the exact target, you will get something close to the
target."

In simplest terms, cancer represents an accelerating
process of inappropriate, uncontrolled cell growth – a
chaotic process within the order of biology. When
examined under a microscope, cancer cells are
abnormally shaped, inconsistently formed, and
disorganized and contain abnormal internal structures,
which is the essence of biological disorder.
Cancer, despite the fear it creates in people, is a natural
phenomenon that represents the body’s response to a
continuous attack on its balancing and regulatory
mechanisms by numerous factors.
Every cell in the body has the ability to turn cancerous,
and many do so on a daily basis. Normally, the immune
system is able to protect the body by destroying these
cells or reprogramming them back to normal
functioning. However, if the body’s defense systems
have been damaged, this process cannot happen, which
allows cancer to establish itself.
This is why building a rock solid immune system is
your foundational objective when tackling and evading
cancer.
Things that can facilitate cancer growth
So when you begin to understand that cancer is largely
an immune system issue, then your next steps is to do
everything in your power to eliminate those things in our
life that suppress or destroy it. The things you need to
avoid include:
– X-rays
– Excess sunlight ultraviolet rays
– Chronic EMF exposure
– Close proximity to overhead power lines
– Nuclear radiation
– Pesticides and herbicides
– Industrial toxins
– Drinking or bathing in polluted, chlorinated, or
fluoridated water
– Smoking
– Hormonal therapies
– Immune suppressive drugs
– Consuming irradiated foods and food additives
– Mercury toxicity (like dental fillings, root canals,
cavitation’s, and contaminated seafood)
– Use of street, prescription and non-prescription drugs
– Nutritional deficiencies
– Consumption of synthetic ‘foods’
– Chronic stress
– Negative emotions
– Depressed thyroid function
– Intestinal toxicity
– Parasites
– Viral, bacterial, and fungal infections (Candida)
– Blocked detoxification pathways
– Genetic predisposition
– Physical irritants (e.g. asbestos)
– Alcohol consumption
– GMO’s
Review of this list may cause despair due to the fact
that these things seem so ingrained into our daily
lifestyle and impossible to avoid. However, the goal is
not perfection but progression towards eliminating
these factors, if you wish to greatly increase your odds
of eliminating and avoiding cancer.
Things that can retard and eliminate cancer growth
In contrast, the things that can help stave off and
reverse cancer growth are associated with creating a
strong and well-balanced immune system. There are
several factors to consider, but high on the list is clean,
whole, and nutritious food full of antioxidants, as well
as a positive mental attitude. Things to consider within
those two factors that you should do on a consistent
basis include:
– Garlic
– Onion
– Turmeric
– Hemp
– Sea vegetables
– Algae
– Aloe vera
– Cruciferous vegetables
– Dark, leafy greens
– Medicinal mushrooms (such as reishi and chaga)
– Cat’s Claw
– Graviola
– Pau D’Arco
– Yoga
– Meditation
– Nature walks
– Laughing
A focus on vegetables and fruits (low in sugar), pure
water, adequate vitamin D intake, clean air, and
earthing are also to be strongly considered.
One may also consider other methods that have shown
promise such as cannabis oil, oxygen therapy, the
Gerson Therapy, and the “antineoplastons” treatment
developed by Dr. Stanislaw Burzynski.
In addition to these approaches, it is also important to
take a proactive approach for cancer screening that
doesn’t necessarily involve medical intervention (see
first source below for 8 ways to do it), so you can
recognize and take quicker action, if required.
However, if you follow these recommendations to a tee,
you have done nearly everything possible to crush any
chance of cancer developing or recurring in 2015.
Remember, eliminating or avoiding cancer requires a
lifestyle change, not a band-aid.
To begin, focus on eliminating as many as the factors
that facilitate cancer as you can, and direct your
attention to daily consumption of the Top 8 Foods and
Herbs For Healing Cancer.

promise such as cannabis oil, oxygen therapy, the
Gerson Therapy, and the “antineoplastons” treatment
developed by Dr.

Africa’s Most Successful Women introduces you to the
most outstanding African women who are making giant
strides in business, politics, technology, entrepreneurship
and leadership on the continent and elsewhere around the
world. Article below written by Mfonobong Nsehe for Forbes
Mo Abudu, a 50 year-old Nigerian media entrepreneur
and talk show host, is the founder of Ebony Life TV , a
fast-growing black African multi-broadcast
entertainment network, which showcases informative
and entertaining programmes that portray Africa at its
best. Abudu, who has been described by international
news outlets as ‘Africa’s Africa’, is keen in her resolve
to rewrite Africa’s story. And it’s time you took notice.
In a recent email interview, she recounts her
entrepreneurial journey and reflects on the lessons
she has learned along the way.
You are the host of ‘Moments with Mo’, one of the most
successful syndicated talk shows on African regional
television. And now you run an African television network.
Walk me through your journey as a media entrepreneur
My passion to help change the narrative about Africa began
to grow as far back as when I was a teenager living in the
UK, schooling in Tunbridge Wells in Kent, a town that had
just a few blacks at the time. As I have said many times in
the past, here, I had to learn to stand up for myself, to
defend my identity and my race in an environment where
you continually got asked the most ridiculous and mind-
boggling questions like “Do you guys live in trees and holes
in Africa?” “Do you guys dance around fires?” “What do you
eat for breakfast?” Very ignorant questions. Those sort of
questions could either make or break your spirit but I was
very determined that I was going to stay strong. This kind of
afro-pessimism simply fuelled a burning, deep-seated
desire in my subconscious to one day help to rewrite the
African story; to get people to talk about the issues that
affect our society and to tell the African narrative in a
contemporary and interesting way; to change the perception
the world had of us; to let the world know that in spite of our
challenges as a developing continent, Africans are not a
bunch of savages but mostly a breed of gifted and
remarkable people. So, after my education and a flourishing
modelling career in the UK, I returned to Nigeria in my late
twenties. My children had reached their teens; I had begun
enjoying a successful career as Head of Human Resources
and Administration for oil giant, Esso Exploration and
Production Nigeria Limited (ExxonMobil). I always say that
this experience at ExxonMobil was the best thing that
happened to me at that time because the job gave me an
invaluable understanding of corporate structure and
business discipline, which would eventually prove very
useful in my future business endeavours, to include the
Protea Hotel Oakwood Park, of which I remain a
shareholder and director; Vic Lawrence & Associates, now
one of Nigeria’s leading outsourcing firms, where I also
remain founder, and so on. However, as successful as all
these business ventures have thankfully been, nothing
perhaps has given me the most fulfilment as the prospect
of exploiting the media as a tool to affect global perceptions
about Africa. So, with no TV experience whatsoever, I had
approached DStv back then with the Moments with Mo
proposal which I had hoped would persuade them to see
that it was time Africans had a talk show that projected all
that was positive, progressive and celebratory about the
continent. I had seen a gap in the market for talk shows
that were quintessentially African on the DStv bouquet. I
had observed that there were talk shows on NTA, and other
Nigerian channels but there wasn’t a single Pan-African talk
show at the time. I did not get a positive response from
DStv as I was told they were not looking for a Pan-African
talk show on the platform at the time. But interestingly, in
response to the need for local content on the platform, the
window of opportunity soonopened for us and that was
how, in 2006, Moments with Mo was born out of the vision
to build and project a new, stronger, more independent and
more confident Africa; an Africa that speaks for itself; that
celebrates its people and achievements and solves its own
problems.Ihad taken about 5 pilots of my talk show to them
back then but they were all rejected and eventually, one was
accepted. And even at that point, I was told they were not
going to commission, that they were only going to license,
which means they would buy the content from you at an
agreed price. So I was told to go and look for sponsors,
which I did, and the rest, as they say, is history.

Why did you choose to then start EbonyLife TV, Africa’s
first global black entertainment network, and describe the
transition from talk show host to head of a television
company, navigating a teething media business sector with
no prior experience?
The irony was that as far back as 2006 when I first
approached DStv with the proposition that Africa was ripe
for its own Oprah Winfrey or Ellen DeGeneres show, I was
at the same time already requesting for a global TV channel
opportunity. At the same time I was exploring channel
possibilities with SKY in the UK. I have always reckoned
that the vision to project Africa in a different, more positive
light, needed a big platform and this was what spurred me
to start thinking of establishing EbonyLifeTV. Looking back
now and considering how ambitious the dream was and all
we had to surmount to arrive at where we are now, one has
to admit that God’s appointed time is always the best. I
think, for the media however, the sector may have been run
by people who are very passionate about the sector rather
than people who are business managers, suffice to say it is
crucially important to understand the business of the media.
You have to be very passionate about what you do and at
the same time, be a business manager, which includes
having a solid business plan.I don’t think the financial
sector in Nigeria understands our sector, I can tell you this
because we spent a long time at strategy sessions with
expatriate financial consultants who really understood
media businessto help identify what the revenue streams in
TV are because in every business, there has to be a way to
make money. It’s not just about the passion to sell Africa’s
story, if you want it to generate money, there’s got to be
something bankable in it. Sometimes, you may not have all
the expertise required to make what you dream of in terms
of profitability, you then have to find someone that is
business savvy enough to show you how this business
works. He will also tell you how long it is going to take for
you to break even, especially if the business is media.
Media is one of those businesses that take off very slowly,
so you know that borrowing money at a high interest rate to
run the media business is not the way to go. Gaining this
understanding was key in getting EbonyLife TV off the
ground and running till today.

How would you describe EbonyLife TV and the kind of
programming it provides?
EbonyLife TV creates content that speaks to the continent’s
most important demographic, the custodians of the present
and of the future, the youth aged 18 to 34. We believe no
one is speaking to this key demographic of the continent
the way we do. This is a demographic that is extremely
passionate and confident; tremendously creative and global-
minded. It is one that craves a platform for self-definition
and self-expression; one that sees a different Africa, an
Africa that tells its own story through the showcasing of the
continent’s best talents, from lifestyle and entertainment to
fashion and music, education, information, love and
relationships. So, with the mantra “Live the EbonyLife”, our
channel is proud to be broadcasting premium, original and
exclusively African programming which is both inspirational
and aspirational, celebrating style and success while
motivating the audience to dream and dream big. Our
programming is one that leaves the viewer with a cool,
glossy, polished and sophisticated experience, from reality
to talk; drama to entertainment and comedy. Through our
programming, we also avail companies amazing brand
integration and placement opportunities like never before.
We believe it is very vital to give African brands, big and
small, the opportunity to be seen on a global scale, showing
the world that African brands can compete with the world’s
best.

What lessons have you learned in business?
I have learned that information is power. The media
business in Nigeria and indeed, Africa is grossly
underestimated and the windows of opportunity need to be
further explored. A lot of people do not understand the
power of the information. One needs to be armed with
information in order to successfully navigate any venture.
Information is your compass. If you know better, you will
do better. Before deciding to enter into any venture, one
must, to the best of their ability have explored possibilities
for growth, foreseen challenges, made projections, thought
exhaustively through every inch and breadth of the venture
and researched what other people have done to succeed
and where they failed.
What advice do you have for those who desire to follow
your entrepreneurial footsteps?
Anyone who wishes to be an entrepreneur must know that
bright ideas are great, however, they are not even half of
the work; execution is everything. Yes, as the saying goes,
‘there is nothing more powerful than an idea whose time
has come’, but when that time comes, you must be
prepared to bleed sweat, tears and blood to bring your ideas
to life. For women, never ever see your gender as a
handicap. Never think yourself inferior. Be ready to do
twice the work for half the usual reward. When the door
isn’t opened, kick down the door. Take the regular
harassment and other obstacles women face in stride. In
fact, be prepared for them. Be prepared to be told off, to be
told you are not good enough, to go unrewarded for even
doing the same work your male counterpart has done. Work
with your passion, let it consume and drive you. Do not be
distracted. On down days, it will keep you going. Also,
surround yourself with like minds. In fact, you should
exhaustively curate those who will go along with you on
your journey. I can’t say that enough.

Having a successful relationship starts with knowing
who you are completely. You can’t fully love someone,
if you are still questioning who you are, or what you
could possibly bring to the table. 2014 was a year of
learning and transition for many people, and if you are
ready to step into 2015 with a roadmap for love, we
wish you much success. We’d like to share 7 Guiding
Principles for Having Amazing Relationships in 2015:
1. Know who you are
Get to know yourself, get God’s view of yourself and
live by that, says Tatianah Green in Singles: How are
You “Actively Waiting” for Marriage?
When you make the decision to be single and actively
wait for God’s plan to unfold, you’re excited to pursue
His plan for your life and not deciding to worry about
marriage.
2. Be open to change with the time comes
You wondered when would you become involved in a
relationship? You have imagined it, dreamed about it
(and even prayed about it) and now the time is here! In
5 Steps for Transitioning from Being Single into a
Relationship, Michelle Cameron ask what are some
ways where your life must adjust to accommodate the
growing relationship?
You may have been single for a long time and have
gotten used to a routine where you are doing the things
you need to do or want to do on your own schedule
without a thought.
3. Know When to Walk Away
Sometimes we stay to long. “But I love him!” I hear
many women say. Unfortunately, love isn’t a good
enough reason to stay in a relationship says Aesha
Roberts in, 3 Signs that You Should Call it Quits in a
Relationship.
“Every second you spend with the wrong one is a
second you’re not with “The One.”
4. We Are All Works in Progress
Writer, Tatianah Green, shares in 10 Things to get
‘Delivert’ from by 2015, we have God’s grace to cover
our mistakes and she prays that we all get the wisdom
to not make them again. With that being said, it’s time
to start declaring with your powerful words, what you
will and will not do in 2015 as a single.
No excuses for not enjoying life before you get
married. “Oh I’ll wait to go to Paris ‘til I get married,” no
—time to plan that trip in your single season! In this
season of waiting, you should also be working and
preparing.
5. Don’t Rush to the Alter
I have known of many singles over the years who
rushed to get married, says Michelle Cameron in 8
Reasons Why Singles Rush to the Altar and 3 Ways to
Make It Last. For some, it worked out well and they
have been together for many years, but for many,
rushing to marry was a disaster waiting to happen.
Surround yourselves with mentors and advisers who
can caution you if you are about to make a serious
mistake by getting married quickly. Marriage is
intended to last forever. Do all you can before
exchanging vows to lay a strong foundation for a
healthy marriage.
6. Know Where You Stand in a Relationship
In Why You Should Talk about the Relationship Status
before You Become Intimate a reader reveals she
became intimate too soon and now questions where
her relationship stands. Tiya Cunningham-Sumter,
quickly gave her reassurance about her decision and
offered great words of advice.
No matter how funky it feels, you cheat yourself when
you don’t share what it is you want. If they don’t desire
the same thing, at least you know and you can move
forward. But if they do, you can begin to develop that
committed partnership.
7. Develop Healthy Relationships
Past failed relationships may have long-term negative
effects on individuals if they lack healthy coping skills.
Dr. Buckingham says, a damaged heart and loss of
trust is difficult to repair in What 5 Steps Can a Single
Woman Take to Develop Healthy Relationships?
Despite the personal challenges we might face, in
regards to developing relationships, we must not forget
that anything worth having, is worth working for.

This is what happened to a South Carolina man after he
was caught red-handed allegedly raping his nephew’s
girlfriend in a bedroom at a home in Conway, South Carolina
on Thursday January 1st.
The nephew, whose identity is being kept from the media,
reportedly found 52-year-old William Mattson (pictured
above) on top of his girlfriend and he responded by beating
the heck out of him. You can see the result of the brutal
beat down in the suspect’s mugshot.
The man then pushed his uncle out of the house and called
police. Mattson was arrested but the nephew was not
charged over the incident. The police said he was “acting in
defense for the victim.”
The uncle is now facing charges related to the alleged
sexual assault.
See the cut below....

A Very popular Spiritual Director of Adoration Ministry, Enugu,
Rev Fr. Ejike Mbaka is currently under serious fire. Let me
explain what's going on. In early November, First Lady
Patience Jonathan was in Enugu to attend the 2014
Adoration Thanksgiving And Bazaar event where Fr. Mbaka
prayed for her, prayed for President Jonathan and said
'GEJ has done well, despite distraction and that he must
come back in 2015. You can find the video here . Fast
forward to January 1st and he's singing a different tune.
He's now saying 'GEJ must go!" Screaming 'we want
change'.
"When the Goodluck met the Yar'adua, the Yar'adua
had badluck and died. Before we knew it, when the
Goodluck met our oil, our oil had bad luck and poured
away. Before we knew it, Goodluck met our naira, our
naira had a bad luck. Where are we going in this
country, shall we continue to experience the bad
luck?" He said on Jan. 1st
You can watch the video - here . So what changed between
Nov. 9th 2014 and January 1st?

Here we are at the
beginning of another new year. It’s a time of great
possibilities, endless resolutions and expensive gym
memberships. You’re probably thinking about your
resolutions and how you’ll make 2015 different and
better. But, rather than making the same resolutions we
have made for the past decade and forgetting them by
January 15, let’s make this the year we create real
change. If you’re ready to create the brave life you truly
want and deserve, here are few simple steps.

1. Believe. It’s not just enough to say you want to quit
smoking, lose weight, improve your relationship or start
a business. You have to actually believe that you can
and will, and that you are truly deserving of a healthier,
happier life. If you haven’t been able to accomplish
these goals in the past, you probably have some
negative beliefs that are holding you back.
We all have these negative beliefs lurking. Sometimes
they have been passed on to us neglectful or stressed
parents or former abusive partners. Sometimes they
are created by our own fear and insecurities. However
they got there, it’s important to realize that these
negative thoughts are not real, and we can choose new,
more positive beliefs. Decide today what you truly want
and then believe that you can and will achieve it.
Believe that you are worthy of it. Believe that you
deserve it — because you do.

2. Release. This year, make a commitment to let go of
anything that no longer serves you. This includes letting
go of the negative thoughts and beliefs you discovered.
It means letting go of guilt — a completely useless
emotion that women are, unfortunately, experts at
cultivating.
It’s also time to let go of everyone else’s burdens. If
your mother is judging you, your partner cheated on
you, your friend is gossiping about you — those are not
your burdens to carry. Let them go!
Yes, you do have to decide how to respond. But, you do
not have to carry around the shame or burden of
someone else’s bad decisions or bad attitude. You have
the right — and an obligation — to make choices for
your own life. But, you can’t do that if you are too
weighed down by everyone else’s stuff. So, really, let it
go.

3. Awaken. So many of us are living on autopilot. We
get the kids to school, go to work, come home, make
dinner, watch mindless TV, knock out in complete
exhaustion… rinse and repeat. We rarely take the time
to truly be aware of what’s happening in our lives. So,
my friends, it’s time to wake up.
Take an honest look at what is happening in your life
right now — not what you hope might happen or what
happened two years ago, and not what you post on
your Facebook wall. Is your relationship really healthy
and happy? Is your career truly fulfilling? How do you
really feel about your life?
Start to become aware of your life and your emotions,
without judgment. If scary or painful feelings come up,
feel them and let them pass. Resist the urge to numb
them with coffee, wine, your news feed or stale candy
canes. It’s time to stop numbing and start truly living.

4. Visualize. Now that you are aware of what is right
now, you can decide how you want things to be. Decide
what you truly want for your life — not what anyone
else expects from you, and not what you want for those
around you. Take some time to really decide what you
want for you. This sounds simple, but can be tough,
especially for women. But, we’ll never create the life we
truly want until we know what that life will look like.
Take some time to write about your vision or create a
vision board full of inspiring images. Do this with your
new set of positive beliefs, with your new awareness
and with a focus on what’s best for you. Then as 2015
takes you through twists and turns (as it inevitably will),
always remember your vision. Look at it every morning,
and stay focused on the big picture. Stay focused on
your dream — and remember that you deserve it.

5. Empathize. I truly believe that empathy is our secret
weapon. In fact, if there is one gift that I wish every
parent would instill in their children, this would be it.
Empathy is the ability to feel with someone. It’s not the
same as sympathy, which means feeling sorry for
someone. Empathy, instead, allows for true, vulnerable
connection.
As we’ve discovered, we all carry around some not-so-
good beliefs about ourselves. We all carry heavy
burdens — many that don’t even belong to us! And we
all have ways that we numb. And guess what? So does
everyone else!
So, the coworker who is always gossiping — yep, she’s
numbing. Your friend who is always negative — she
probably has some cruddy beliefs about herself. We all
have monsters. Some monsters are just dressed up or
wearing better disguises than others. But, a monster is
a monster, my friend. So, we have no business judging
anyone else’s monsters, or anyone else’s choices.
Empathy means letting go of judgment and accepting
everyone for who they truly are.
Here’s the truth: Anytime someone judges you, that’s
their stuff. The great news is, that’s not your burden to
carry! Of course, the opposite is also true. Anytime you
judge someone else, that’s your stuff. That’s a clue to
you that you have some baggage full of negative beliefs
that you haven’t unpacked yet.
For example, when I was waitressing to pay my way
through college and living mostly on ramen noodles and
hot dogs (which could be why I’m a vegetarian today), I
used to have a lot of judgments about very wealthy
people. But eventually, I realized that these judgments
were caused by my own insecurities and worries about
money. It was my stuff.
So, when you see a mother with her child and think (or
say), I can’t believe she lets her child dress like that!
Maybe what’s really being triggered is your own
worries. Maybe you’re really thinking, I always feel
inadequate as a mother. I don’t know if I’m good
enough. But, at least my kids aren’t dressed like hers,
so I must be at least doing better than her, right?
Recognize when it’s your stuff. Be aware of it. And then
let it go. When you set down the guilt, shame and
insecurity, you will have no reason to judge anyone.
That doesn’t mean you have to go out and buy your
kids green mud boots and tutus — you don’t have to
replicate, or even like, what anyone else is doing. Just
don’t judge it. Think, that’s not for me, but great for
her!
Imagine how much free time and energy you will have
when you let go of negative beliefs, other people’s
burdens, mindless numbing, and judgment! You’ll
finally be able to focus on creating the life you truly
want and deserve, while encouraging others to do the
same. Because really, that’s what being brave is all
about.

Cattle Rearer vs Phd Holder....Asari is telling us to choose rightly. Please choose one

According to a report by PM News, a Court of Appeal sitting
in Lagos has quashed the 22-count charge brought against
the former Managing Director of Intercontinental Bank Plc,
Dr. Erastus Akingbola by the Economic and Financial
Crimes Commission (EFCC). The EFCC had alleged that
Akingbola stole N47.5 billion belonging to the bank. The
report below...
Ruling on Akingbola’s application on jurisdiction, the
court presided over by Justice Amina Augie held that
the High Court of Lagos State presided over by Justice
Lateef Lawal-Akapo lacked jurisdiction to entertain the
suit filed against him by the commission
Justice Augie said it amounted to miscarriage of justice for
the lower court to have dismissed Akingbola’s application
challenging its jurisdiction on the matter.
“The appeal is meritorious and allowed,” she declared.
“I am convinced that the lower court refused to align itself
with the decision of this court in Nwosu’s case,” she further
held.
Akingbola and his co-defendant, Bayo Dada, had filed two
separate applications challenging the jurisdiction of the
court to hear the 22-count charge filed against them by the
EFCC.
But, the lower court, in its ruling on 2 May, 2014 dismissed
their applications.
Justice Lawal-Akapo had then held that the charges
preferred against the defendants were within its
competence and jurisdiction to determine.
Dissatisfied with the ruling of the high court, Akingbola and
Dada approached the Appeal Court, praying that the trial
court’s decision be set aside.
Delievering the judgement, Justice Augie declared that the
lower court fell into serious error by not abiding by the
decision on Nwosu’s case adding, “it is most unfair and is
an injustice”.
According to her, the lower court has no option than to
follow the decision of the higher court on Nwosu’s case.
“The point must be made that the decision of this court in
Nwosu’s case was based on proof of evidence.”
The judge noted that all the charges against the defendants
arose out of capital market transactions.
“Only federal high court is conferred with the exclusive
jurisdiction to try cases of capital market transaction,” she
stressed.
The appellate court held that the lower court owes it a duty
to compare and contrast the documents cited by parties.
“It is its duty to examine materials brought before him. It is
the role of the judge to do justice in adjudicating all the
cases brought before him.
“One sided justice would amount to injustice and favouring
one side.
“The proof of evidence was there but the trial judge at the
lower court accused the defendants of not furnishing him
with the documents.
“He has failed in his duty.”
Justice Augie further held that the appeal filed by the
defendants has nothing to do with evidence, noting that the
lower court failed to go through argument canvassed
before it assumed jurisdiction on the matter.
She emphasised that the issue of jurisdiction should not
have been toyed with by the lower court.
“I agree with the appellant that the lower court ought to
have gone through the proof of evidence.
“There is no way a charge of stealing can stand without
going through the proof of evidence,” she declared.

Berlin - Former Bayern Munich boss Uli Hoeness was on
Friday granted day-release for the remainder of his prison
term for tax fraud, justice officials said.
The decision, announced by the regional justice ministry in
the southern state of Bavaria, comes seven months after
Hoeness, who turns 63 on Monday, began a three-and-a-
half year prison term.
Hoeness, who was sentenced for having cheated the state
out of 28.5 million euros ($34.3 million), had already been
released to spend Christmas and then New Year with his
wife and family out of prison.

Bild daily published Friday a front-page photo of Hoeness
on a snowy walk with his wife, Susi, under the headline
"Hoeness is practising freedom".
It said he was expected to soon begin work with the youth
division of FC Bayern.
His new day-release regime will now permit him to pursue
a regular job before returning to prison at 6:00 pm.
Hoeness, who was replaced as Bayern Munich president
by Karl Hopfner, spent four decades at the Bundesliga
champions, initially as a player, and also has a successful
sausage business.
During his four-day trial in March last year, he admitted to
hiding his wealth in secret Swiss bank accounts while
obsessively "gambling" on stock and currency markets for
years before seeking to come clean in return for immunity
from prosecution.
But his January 2013 attempt to turn himself in to
authorities was deemed too little too late.

Liverpool - Steven Gerrard is set to make the shock
announcement that he will leave Liverpool at the end of
the season, ending a rollercoaster 25-year association
with the English giants.
Reds captain Gerrard's Anfield future has been the subject
of speculation for several months and he is believed to
have decided to continue his career overseas when his
contract expires in the close season.
The 34-year-old midfielder, who scored two penalties in
Thursday's 2-2 draw against Leicester at Anfield, has
already been linked with a move to MLS franchise LA
Galaxy and a Daily Express report says he is poised to go
public on his plans later Friday to avoid speculation over
his future becoming a distraction during the rest of the
season.
Clubs from the Middle East will also express interest in
Gerrard according to the report, with the former England
skipper free to speak to foreign sides since the first
minute of the new year.
Former Liverpool teammate Jamie Carragher described
Gerrard's decision as a "sad day".
"Sad day for Lfc & English football with the Gerrard news,
I think it's the right decision all things considered," tweeted
Carragher, who himself made 737 appearances for
Liverpool.
He added: "Leaving or retiring is a great confidence
booster, this morning my timeline was full of "whys
Gerrard starting" now it's "Gerrard best ever".
Gerrard's announcement that he plans to leave his
boyhood team, the only club he has played for in his
professional career, will come as a huge blow to many
Liverpool supporters who anticipated he would extend his
contract by at least another year.
Liverpool offered Gerrard a new deal in November, but it is
said he has decided the time is right to move on at the end
of the campaign.
Gerrard joined Liverpool as an eight-year-old and has
made 695 first-team appearances, scoring 180 goals.
His greatest moment came when he scored in the
Champions League final in 2005 and inspired Liverpool to
come from 3-0 down at half-time against AC Milan and
win the trophy on penalties.
But his hopes of winning the Premier League are likely to
remain unfulfilled after Liverpool came up agonisingly
short last season and lost out to Manchester City.
Gerrard returned to the starting line up for Thursday's
draw with Leicester after being rested for Monday's win
over Swansea.
But, with his performances below his previous high
standards for much of this season, the prospect of being a
substitute in more matches next season as manager
Brendan Rodgers manages his fitness has helped shape
his decision to quit Anfield.
'What a player'
The Express report said Gerrard, who famously turned
down two moves to Chelsea, will not play for another club
in England out of respect for Liverpool.
Gerrard made his debut in 1998, coming on as a substitute
in a game against Blackburn Rovers.
His club trophy haul includes the Champions League,
UEFA Cup, two FA Cups, three League Cups, one
Community Shield and two UEFA Super Cups.
Gerrard was capped 114 times by England, having made
his international debut in 2000, but he retired from
international football after last year's World Cup where
England exited in the first round.
Former England star Gary Lineker tweeted that the Anfield
giants owed Gerrard a huge debt for his loyalty and his
performances.
"So that's it then, Gerrard is going. What a player he has
been for Liverpool. Dragged teams to levels they'd never
have reached without him," said Lineker.
Gerrard's impending announcement came after Rodgers
rued the defensive mistakes which he said were
hampering his side's attempts to build momentum in the
Premier League following the draw with Leicester.
The Reds had a 2-0 lead at half-time thanks to two
penalties from Gerrard.
"They were two great penalties by Stevie, who showed
great composure," said Rodgers.
However, goals from David Nugent and Jeffrey Schlupp
ensured the Foxes collected a share of the points as they
hit back in the second half.
It left Liverpool seven points adrift of fourth place and
Rodgers lamenting the need for his side to tighten up at
the back.
"We are disappointed at being 2-0 up and conceding the
goals that we did, poor goals and giving away the ball so
cheaply," Rodgers said.
"We have seven out of nine points, we should have more,
at 2-0 even playing as poorly as we did. We should have
closed that out and it cost us.
"I think we have to do better on the edge of the box. The
shots come in too easy, and we have to be stronger and
aggressive.
"We talked about it. We had a plan in place in terms of
after the opponent scores or after we score, the five
minute spell, the idea of what to do and how to work that
but we didn't do it."
